About Shaker Heights Animal Hospital
Established in 1943, and purchased in 2004 by Dr. James Prueter—the previous founder and owner of The Veterinary Referral Clinic—Shaker Heights Animal Hospital continues to be an integral part of this vibrant and growing community. In December 2016, Dr. Jeremy Welsh purchased the practice from Dr. Preuter, and will continue providing comprehensive general veterinary medicine and specialty care for pet owners who may be unable to afford specialty clinics.
As time changes the face of a city, it also changes the philosophies and perspectives of individuals. Changing ideas and new discoveries in veterinary care have affected our four-legged family members. With advancements in diagnostic technology, preventive care, treatments and client education, we have the ability to provide a longer, healthier life for your pets. Dr. Welsh understands the role all these components play in ensuring you and your pet live the best life possible together.
