Registered Veterinary Technician

Fear Free Certified Professional.

Kasey is a surgical RVT at SHAH and has 5+ years of experience in the veterinary field. She grew up on a ranch in New Mexico which is where her compassion for animals began.

While Kasey is well-versed in the spectrum of services offered at a general practice, her passion and expertise lies in surgery. She loves to perform dental procedures and provide dental training for her teammates. She has a strong interest in anesthesia and plans to specialize in anesthesia in the future.

In March 2022, Kasey won the Diversify Veterinary Medicine Coalition Scholarship, which is awarded to only one RVT per year. The Diversity Veterinary Medicine Coalition is committed to addressing issues of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in veterinary medicine.

Kasey has two black cats of her own: Grim and Reaper. When she’s not cleaning dog and cat teeth, she has her nose in a book or in the flowers of her garden. She speaks fluent Navajo and is currently learning Korean. She’s thrilled to be a part of an outstanding surgery team and looks forward to caring for your pets in surgery!

Olivia joined the SHAH team in early Summer 2023, shortly after graduating from the Veterinary Technology program at Tri-C with an Associates of Applied Science degree. She has been around animals her entire life.

Her grandfather was a notable inspiration in her early years. Because of his love for animals, Olivia got to care for many different animals including not only cats, but also chickens, turkeys, emus, and the occasional guinea fowl! In her free time Olivia loves crafting and playing video games. She shares her home with three cats- Puff, Marble, and Frumpkin.

Her love of animals and lifelong aspiration to work with them brought her to Shaker Heights Animal Hospital where she can help provide compassionate and quality care for your pets.

Devin is newer to the veterinary field, having just graduated from a 2-year program in Veterinary Technology at Tri-C. He was drawn to the veterinary profession due to his love of animals, and a conversation he had with his brother, who told him that he would be a good fit for the field. After graduating from the program and starting in the field, he’s glad he took the advice.

Devin loves going on nature walks with his dog, Shiva. He joined the SHAH team because he had previously externed with them and enjoyed working with the team.

A fun fact about Devin is that he knows how to juggle, which he says is not the most useful skill in his profession but it’s fun at parties.

In loving memory of Charlotte (March 2023).

Charlotte loves to welcome our clients by jumping up on the reception desk to say “hello”. She also likes to help our receptionists by lying across the computer keyboard or draping herself around their shoulders and supervising their work.

In loving memory of Josie (January 2022).

Josie loves to “talk,” and if you’re not paying attention to her she will let you know – especially when she wants her morning treats! She also doubles as a paper weight and a pen re-locator for our veterinarians and office manager.

Mama Cat

In loving memory of Mama Cat (October 2018).

Mama may not look like she’s paying attention, but nothing gets past her. When clients arrive with their cats she is always available for a thorough carrier inspection to see what’s inside. She keeps everyone in check here at the hospital.
